How to Determine If Coupons on Eventbin is Worth Your Time?

I firmly believe that time is money, which is why I started Eventbin.com.

With Eventbin.com, our mission is to help people save on brand name products they use often.

By using simple techniques like saving repeat coupon search, displaying and organizing results in a calendar to save time locating coupons, our aim is help each member family save an average of $10 per week with less than 10 minute per week in effort.

With that said, let’s put our promise to test to figure out if it is worth your time using Eventbin to get your coupons?

Step 1: How much do you make per hour?

Using only your gross (before tax) salary per year, say you make $100,000 a year and divide it by 2000 hours (which is 40 hours a week at 50 weeks a year, after accounting 2 weeks for vacation) gives $50 per hour.

Step 2: How much savings do you make using Eventbin?

On average, if you use the search and set alerts tools provided by Eventbin.com each member family can save $10 per week by spending just 10 minutes, which gives $60 per hour.

    Conclusion:

If you earning less than $100,000 and spending only 10 minutes on site to  save more than $8.3 OR

if you earning less than $40,000 and spending only 10 minutes on site to save more than $3.3

then it is worth using Eventbin.com

    What have you to lose?

Nothing, give Eventbin.com a try, on weeks when the alerts or organizer shows less than your required $ savings don’t hassle yourself over those coupons. But on weeks, when you see more than your required $ savings become a saving rock star!

Eliminate your debt with discount coupons in your budget plans

    – By Kenneth Parkar

After the recent financial turbulence of 2008, a lot of people are crushed under the heavy weight of credit card debt. If you’re one of them and finding it difficult to make your debt payments it’s time that you plan a suitable budget. A proper budget helps you to save money and thus pay off your debts, one by one. However, a debt settlement program can also help you to gain control over your debts. There are several debt settlement companies whose work is to negotiate with your creditors to lessen your interest rate and lower the amount of debt you pay. Nevertheless, with a few sensible steps, you can ease up your financial condition and get your peace of mind. You don’t really need any long-term education or methodical lessons so as to develop a personal money understanding. A properly planned budget not only helps you in eliminating your debts, but also gets you ready for a debt free life.

For those who wish to get initiated with budgeting, discount vouchers could be an outstanding financial tool. Nowadays, this kind of shopping is quite popular and many retailers and even supermarkets are utilizing the network to expand their small business.

Discount coupons are element of the long-established shopping experience, even before Internet became popular. A lot of businesses would offer various discount vouchers in order to attract consumers; many shoppers loved the idea of availing promos from diverse stores to buy goods at a lower price. Nearly every business now offers discount vouchers to promote their business online. The more vouchers they offer over the Internet, the greater the profits in return. As a result of promotional codes, they receive thousands of clients and visitors online. You may go through the local journals for discount coupons on grocery, restaurants and amusement that you would prefer. Some companies may also provide printable codes. All you need to do is to download the printable version of the coupon codes. However, if you’re residing far away from the shop, then these vouchers aren’t the best alternative for you.

Save Money Without Wasting Time Part 1

Putting My Deal Search On Auto-Pilot for Free
I used to love reading the Sunday newspaper and email after emails after signing up for a multitude of websites looking for deals. One day I realized I hadn’t bought anything from them in about 4 months, but I was still wasting 30-45 minutes on the weekend perusing the ads.  I’d been fooling myself: telling myself I was trying to save money.  I cut it out completely, instead I signed up for eventbin.com, which searches for deals on everyday purchases that I use at home and work. It alerts me only for the deals I need. It acts like my virtual assistant searching for deals on the brands I already use. I put that extra saved time directly into my weekend workout.
    Bargain Book Shopping
I admit it – I love reading.  About 3 months ago I decided I wouldn’t buy any book in a store, unless I absolutely needed it instantly (guess how many times that’s happened?).  So many of these books are on sale used (or even new!) at Amazon from 3rd party sellers for about the same price anyway. I save time by not physically going to the store anymore to buy books.
Curbing My Shopaholic Urge with a Wishlist
If I see what I like, I just throw it on my Amazon Wishlist. Every few months I look at my list, and often I don’t even care about half the items on there anymore. So not only do I not feel guilty about “missing out” by not buying it, I feel vindicated for saving a few bucks avoiding a purchase I didn’t really need.
I save time by not shopping for unwanted things, and I also save money by not buying things I don’t need.

    Why I love Costco Coupons?

My addiction to coupons started when I first saw and used Costco Coupon books. I love the fact that Costco provides coupons that most people can find value. In fact, it saved me so much that I want to help more people with coupons so I have started a site called eventbin.com where coupons are displayed in a convenient calendar format that way it is easy for people to remember when their favorite brand is on sale with having to read through several emails. They can also subscribe for their favorite brands so they will get an alert when it goes on sale.
Enough about my site. Let’s face it warehouse shopping is cheap and it be cheaper if you add a bit of planning before you shop.
I know that a lot of those who don’t shop at warehouses would strongly argue against me, citing big receipts, expensively branded items and buying more than you need etc. And to them I would respond–you can face the same temptation any other place you shop so let’s not shot the place you shop when the control lies within you.
Since I started practicing these simple steps of using Costco coupons for the past 3 years, I estimate that I’ve saved over $5000 on groceries and supplies alone.
It adds up fast, and it’s really easy. Just follow these steps:
    1. Be on the look out for your monthly Costco coupon book. If you think you have not received any then stop by Costco customer service and ask for one.
    2. Mark the pages that have coupons you are interested in. This way you don’t forget to buy what you need when you are at the warehouse.
    3. Max out the item limit, so you can stock up as many items you need at the lowest price. Combining the already cheap prices with a coupon make the deal sweeter.
    4. Buy only how much you need when the item is on sale. Remember to replenish your stock again when it is on sale (see Step three.)
    5. Get organized. I generally try to group the items together at home where I store them whether it is in the pantry or in the basement. This way I don’t forget to use them when I need and I don’t accidentally buy more than I need.
    6. Check the receipt. Make sure all the charges were correct and all the coupons went through. If not then you can ask customer service to refund you the discount difference. Then look at where it tells you how much you saved and feel awesome about yourself.
    7. Most Costco locations also have gas stations. So fill up your car in the same trip as gas prices at Costco is on an average 20% lower than other locations.
    8. Repeat steps one to seven regularly.
Disclaimer: I do not work for Costco and have never worked for Costco in any capacity.  I do not receive free goods or services from Costco and I am not paid to express favorable opinions of Costco.

7 Easy Steps to Start Couponing

After seeing the TV show on TLC, Extreme Couponing, then you know couponing is a great way to save money on your grocery bill. But knowing where to start can be tricky. The time and effort that it takes to clip, print, find, and use coupons often keeps people from reaping the huge savings provided by stores. With a few small additions to your normal grocery routine, you can start saving with little effort and greatest rewards.

Here are six great tips to get you motivated and ready to save:

Step 1. Subscribe to your local papers

The quickest way to get started is to subscribe to your local newspapers. Getting a subscription for each member of the household helps to maximize coupon benefits by using the extra coupons to stockpile items that your family uses often.

Step 2. Start a coupon group

Build a valuable buddy system with like-minded friends, family and coworkers, and share coupons with one another. Make it fun time by having your spouse, kids, relative and friends  clip coupons over snacks and share the benefits with those closest to you.

    Step 3. Get organized

Maximizing the benefits of couponing means staying organized, like using a three-ring binder, envelopes in a shoebox, or paper clips. Whatever you choose to use, make sure it works for you and stick with it. (Quick blurb: Or you can use my site eventbin.com, it is in its beta stage so it has a handful of coupons but every bit matters when it comes to savings.)

    Step 4. Print and save

Browse the web for great savings on coupons and sign up for manufacturer’s emails or like them on Facebook (such actions are returned by coupons). If you’re worried about spam? Get a free email account and use exclusively for couponing.

    Step 5. Plan ahead

Expert coupon users rarely run out of items because they plan. Plan by using pen and paper, a computer spreadsheet, or a smartphone app.  Check out your stash of  manufacturer coupons and your local stores circular to find out what items are on sale for your upcoming shopping trip and use your coupons to maximize those savings. Planning your meals around store specials and the coupons you have can save you money.

    Step 6. Stock up

Buy the most allowed number of items for a coupon or special to help you stock up the items you often use or your favorite brand. Stockpiling doesn’t need to take up a lot of space. Use an empty shelf or cabinet or basement or even the crawl space and begin filling it with items that you get free or at a deep discount. This works particularly well for toiletries and household cleaners. Make sure you group together the items you store such as toiletries, cereal; this way you will be familiar with your stock pile and don’t end up buying more than you need.

    Step 7. Repeat

You won’t save 90 percent on your groceries during your first trip like you saw on TLC; but, you may save 5 or even 10 percent. As you become more experienced and your savings will increase. Keep motivated by recording coupon savings and think of how you can use that money toward paying down debt or even a vacation!
